My father passed away in January. we submitted for his small policy pay out which he had religiously paid on for 13 years (5K).

we overnighted the required paperwork and confirmed with "claims" it had been received and it was in processing. we are at the end of Feb now and still no check. I have called several times and each time you are on hold for 40 to 50 min. then the trained rep says "I am so sorry for your loss yes can you khold?

then they come back and say yes I show it is in processing.

Out of curiousity I dialed the same # on 3 phones and all three lines gave a different hold time all of which exceeded the estimate by one hour. This is a scam and no one suffering a loss should have to deal with this ridiculous company!!

Go with New York Life they said and had a ck to us in 10 days awesome customer service a REAL company!

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Monetary Loss: $5000.

I'm having the same issue right now. My father passed away on feb 10.

I overnighted my package which they received on feb 20 but have it in their system as feb 21. Since that day, everything is in my processing.

They stated I won't expect to hear from them til end of march. How is the guaranteed life insurance to cover funeral expenses when it takes almost 2 months to receive?
